THERE IS A LEADERSHIP DEFICIT IN THE CHURCH, AND ITS IMPACTING OUR ABILITY TO INFLUENCE CULTURE.
“Where there is NO vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18)
“Leadership remains one of the glaring needs of the church,” says George Barna, founder of the Barna Research Group. “After 15 years of digging into the world around me, I have reached several conclusions regarding the future of the Christian Church in America. The central conclusion is that the American church is dying due to lack of strong leadership. In this time of unprecedented opportunity and plentiful resources, the church is actually losing influence.”
A leadership deficit exists in the Church. It affects our ability to lead ourselves, our families and our congregations, which in turn limits our ability to influence culture to bring about positive life change. This deficit exists because of a lack of vision of what servant leadership is, and the power it possesses to bring about transformational change in culture.
